Code of Conduct

Your Future Made in Austria: Hackathon Code of Conduct

At "Your Future Made in Austria," we are committed to building a vibrant, trustworthy, and supportive community where everyone can thrive. This Code of Conduct reflects our shared values and outlines our commitment to a respectful, productive, and joyful environment for all participants, organizers, and partners. By taking part in this Hackathon, you agree to these principles.

1. Our Expectations for a Great Event

We believe in the power of collaboration and mutual respect. To create an environment where your best work can happen, we ask that you:

  • Be authentic and empathetic. Treat every participant with kindness and respect. We encourage open-mindedness and active listening.
  • Be mindful and collaborative. Focus on building solutions together. Your ideas are valuable, but so are everyone else's.
  • Be professional and considerate. Avoid any form of disruptive or inappropriate behavior that could distract from the creative energy of the event.

2. Unacceptable Behavior

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any behavior that undermines the safety and integrity of our community. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment of any kind, including offensive verbal or written comments related to
  • gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion.
  • Intimidation, stalking, or following.
  • Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Offensive jokes or imagery.
  • Disruptive or unprofessional conduct during any part of the event.

Please note that smoking or the consumption of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. You are not allowed to bring weapons of any kind with you.

We believe that all participants should feel safe and valued. Any behavior that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome goes directly against our mission and will not be tolerated

3. Reporting an Incident

We are here to help. If you experience or witness any behavior that makes you feel uncomfortable or violates this Code of Conduct, we urge you to report it immediately. You can find a dedicated contact person for this purpose at the event. We will treat all reports with the utmost confidentiality and empathy. We are committed to taking every report seriously and responding promptly.

4. Consequences of Violation

Our standards are high because we believe in the quality of this community. Violations of this Code of Conduct will be addressed swiftly and decisively. The organizers, at their sole discretion, may take any action they deem appropriate, including:

  • A verbal warning.
  • Removal from the event.
  • Exclusion from future "Your Future Made in Austria" events.

We value your trust and are dedicated to ensuring that your participation in this Hackathon is a positive, inspiring, and safe experience.
